"You Are Not Alone" by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

I don't read many thrillers, but I'm going to start now. I was so hooked that I almost finished this book in one sitting. I was completely engaged in the plot, and I thought the pacing was okay. There were a few spots that I found to be a little slow, but they quickly picked up by the end of the chapter. There was so much tension by the end that my mind pretty much exploded.

Right from the start, I felt an instant connection with Shay, the main character. I sympathized with her shy, clean, and quiet demeanor. I also enjoyed the roles of the Moore sisters and their circle of friends. It was fun to picture each character's home life and work life. I blended in perfectly with the world-building in New York.

I thought the writing was seamless. I couldn't tell one author from the other. I don't read many books with multiple authors because I feel like I might be able to tell who's who, but I didn't get that vibe at all while reading.

The only other issue I had was with the big reveal at the end. I didn't see it coming at all, and I struggled to see the connection. I wouldn't say I was disappointed with the ending, but I was definitely shocked.

Overall, If you are looking for a thriller with loveable characters, great world-building, and a shock at the end, I highly recommend this one.

You probably don't know anyone like the Moore sisters.

But what they really want is hers. (Goodreads)
