"Ghosts of the Shadow Market" by Cassandra Clare

This is going to be a short review, because I did not finish this book.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare is a bind-up of multiple short stories sounding the Shadowhunter world.

I listened to this book on Audible, and I could not find a motivation to keep listening to it. I could not resonate with the different plots and I found the stories to be boring.

I also could not connect with the characters because I found them to be dry. There is no instant pull where I could locate a connection.

The world is an additional development if the shadow hunter world. An average reader would not be able to pick this book up and understand the world that these characters live in.

The dialog is the same as the writing, it's fine, but nothing interesting.

Overall, I don't know why I tried to listen to this book. I have not had any luck with her novella bind-ups, but I wanted to give this one a try. I LOVE The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments, and The Dark Artifices, but I can never get into the novellas. Even though the books include the characters I love, I feel like they lack strong plot lines. If you love Cassandra Clare, then I would recommend this book to you, but hold it at an arm's length.
